Mother’s Day, 2025
Of course — here’s a refined version of your text with a smoother flow and slightly modernized language:
America’s mothers are the foundation of our families, the light in our homes, and the guardians of our Nation’s future. From our earliest days to adulthood, mothers shape our character, guide our conscience, and play an essential role in raising the next generation of proud Americans.
This Mother’s Day, we honor every extraordinary mother whose unwavering love, warmth, support, and devotion have enriched our lives, shaped our culture, and strengthened the promise of our great Nation.
From our first moments in life, mothers nurture us with patience, wisdom, compassion, and kindness. They teach us how to love and guide us through life’s joys and challenges. Mothers stand beside us always—offering comfort, reassurance, and inspiration. Their love transcends time, generations, and circumstances.
Mothers are also our protectors, shielding the young and safeguarding them from harm. They instill the values that mold our character, and through their time, talents, and tireless dedication, they uplift those in their care. My Administration remains dedicated to empowering American mothers and supporting American families. From defending the God-given dignity of every human life—born and unborn—to assisting mothers facing unexpected or high-risk pregnancies, and making fertility treatments more accessible, we are working so families across America can grow and thrive. That is why I continue to champion the child tax credit and strive to ensure families can enjoy the highest standard of living on a single income.
Under my leadership, we are advancing the American Dream, making it attainable for every family and every child. As President, I will continue to safeguard parents’ rights to raise their children in a free and fair Nation, free from the divisive influence of radical ideologies that undermine families and isolate children.
On this Mother’s Day, and every day, we recognize the selfless service of mothers across America. We offer our deepest gratitude for their endless love and lifelong devotion—and we celebrate their remarkable contributions to our families, communities, culture, and Nation.
By joint resolution approved on May 8, 1914 (38 Stat. 770), Congress designated the second Sunday in May as “Mother’s Day” and requested the President to call for its appropriate observance.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim May 11, 2025, as Mother’s Day. I encourage all Americans to express their love and gratitude to birth mothers, adoptive mothers, foster mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, and all women who embrace the role of motherhood. Each plays a vital part in guiding our future as beloved maternal figures—whether with us in person or in spirit. Let us reflect on the profound importance of motherhood to the prosperity of our families, communities, and Nation.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this ninth day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-five, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-ninth.
