Catch up on the latest team updates from both sides as Liverpool prepares to face Crystal Palace in their Premier League match at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Arne Slot did not indicate any new injury issues for the Reds during his pre-match press conference, although a decision on Federico Chiesa was still pending.

The Italian forward missed the Champions League victory against Bologna due to a fitness issue sustained earlier in the week and will be assessed for his availability to travel to Palace.

“It’s a wait-and-see situation. He hasn’t trained for the last two days,” Slot said about the summer signing on Friday morning. “He came in today to see if he could train, but if he can, I still have to decide whether to include him in the squad, as we can only select 20 players, and he hasn’t trained recently.

“First, we need to see if he can train at all, and then we’ll decide if we take him to the game.”

Harvey Elliott remains unavailable for the Premier League leaders, while Diogo Jota is set to make his 100th start in the 12:30 PM BST kick-off.

“It’s a challenging situation for us: a 12:30 kick-off after a late Wednesday evening Champions League match against a team that has had a whole week to prepare,” Slot noted. “But that’s part of being at a top club; we must be ready to face these challenges, and that’s what we aim to do tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, Palace head coach Oliver Glasner could give defender Trevoh Chalobah his debut after he recovered from an abdominal injury sustained during his loan from Chelsea.

Glasner, however, will still be without Cheick Doucoure, Matheus Franca, Chadi Riad, and Chris Richards.

“Chalobah has trained with us for an extra week, and every session helps him get into shape. He has looked quite good this week,” Glasner told reporters. “He is getting closer to starting, which is beneficial as it gives us more options, so we’ll see what happens tomorrow.

“No one else has returned, but no one else is out either, so our squad remains the same. We’ll assess the situation during the international break.”
