Simu Liu has announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Allison Hsu.

 Simu Liu, star of Marvel’s “Shang-Chi” and the 2023 blockbuster “Barbie,” has announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Allison Hsu. The couple shared the happy news Sunday on Instagram with a series of romantic photos taken in Paris, where Hsu showcased a sparkling diamond ring.

“Us forever,” Hsu captioned the joint post, adding diamond ring and white heart emojis.

Liu wrote to his 3 million followers, “From weekends in Paris, day trips to Palm Springs, long nights on set, afternoons on the couch and everything in between — I choose you forever and always.”

Hsu enthusiastically replied, “I love you fiancé!!!!!!!!!!”

The couple first went public in late 2022 when they attended the Los Angeles premiere of “Violent Night” together. Around that time, Liu praised Hsu to People as “a badass” who is “a fighter” and “very passionate about all things in life.”

Liu rose to fame with his groundbreaking role as Marvel’s first Asian superhero in “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” He recently appeared as a guest investor on CBC’s “Dragons’ Den,” sparking conversations about cultural appropriation during his stint.
