Sam Mitchell Reacts Strongly to Co-Host's Salary Comment, Issues a Warning

Steelers' Russell Wilson Shows Support for George Pickens

Former NBA player Sam Mitchell transitioned to television after a challenging one-season stint as head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, he now finds himself in hot water with NBA TV. During an episode of NBA Gametime Live, Mitchell clashed with co-host Sam Miles, who made a light-hearted comment about coaching salaries.

"I’m surprised coaches get a paycheck for this show," Miles joked. "Maybe you should do this pro bono, my friend."

Mitchell didn't hold back in response. "Last time I checked my paycheck, it's pretty close. So hey, I'm taking donations. Why don't you chip in some of that money you’re bragging about? Oh, did you rent out your beach house in Florida during the hurricane, or your townhouse? You want to call me out? Come on."

He continued, "I know what you have and where you live, young fella, so you need to stop. You’re the one acting like you’re destitute here. Do I need to keep going, or should I stop? I’ve told you, you’re going to stop messing with me on national TV. Do I need to give out your address since you’re not home right now?"

Mitchell, a former forward for the Timberwolves, has not yet faced any disciplinary action nor commented on the incident.
