Missouri's Brady Cook suffers hand injury during game against Alabama.

Missouri quarterback Brady Cook suffered a hand injury during Saturday's 34-0 defeat against Alabama and did not return for the second half. Coach Eliah Drinkwitz, leading the No. 21 Tigers, stated that Cook was injured on the second drive of the game. After undergoing an X-ray on his hand, the decision was made to keep him on the sidelines.

"Didn't feel like they were comfortable letting him continue, so we'll see where that goes when we get back [to Missouri]," Drinkwitz shared with reporters.

This marks the second consecutive game Cook has had to leave due to injury. Last week, he injured his ankle on the opening drive against Auburn but managed to return late in the third quarter, leading the team to a comeback victory with two fourth-quarter touchdowns for a 21-17 win.

Cook started against the No. 15 Crimson Tide after being labeled a game-time decision due to his ankle injury. He was replaced by Drew Pyne, who took the field for the final two series of the first half and played the entire second half. Pyne’s first pass was intercepted by Malachi Moore, who returned it 31 yards, setting up Alabama's first touchdown and a 13-0 lead. Pyne ended the game with only 42 passing yards and three interceptions.

In less than two quarters, Cook recorded 194 passing yards. Before the game against Alabama, he had completed 63.1% of his passes for 1,545 yards, with seven touchdowns and one interception.
