Commanders QB Highlights Panthers Defender

The Washington Commanders are set to face off against one of the NFL's most vulnerable defenses this Week 7, as they take on the Carolina Panthers.

Despite the Panthers ranking last in points allowed and fourth in total yards given up this season, there are still key players who could pose a challenge for the Commanders' offense.

Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels is well aware of the talent that Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn brings to the field.

"Yeah, they’re a team that flies around. [Carolina Panthers CB] Jaycee Horn is a solid player—very physical—and they focus on getting their hands on the ball," Daniels noted. "They’re a strong tackling team with very few missed tackles. Our goal will be to find ways to break their leverage and gain some extra yards after the catch. It’s going to be exciting to play against him this week."

Horn, who will turn 25 next month, has recorded 27 tackles in six games this season, matching his total from last year despite dealing with injuries. Now healthy, he leads the Panthers’ secondary and is a player the Commanders will need to keep an eye on as they prepare for the game.

Kickoff between the Panthers and Commanders is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET, airing on CBS and Paramount+.
