How many points did Caitlin Clark score today as the Fever lost to the record-setting A'ja Wilson and the Aces?

Caitlin Clark scored 16 points, but the Rookie of the Year favorite couldn't guide her team to victory as the Indiana Fever fell 86-75 to the Las Vegas Aces on Wednesday in Indianapolis. The two teams will face off again on Friday.

In addition to her points, Clark recorded six assists and three rebounds but struggled with her shooting, making just 6-of-22 attempts, including a disappointing 1-of-10 from beyond the arc—one of her poorest performances of the season.

Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 24 points. Despite the loss, Clark and Indiana have been on a roll recently, with Clark averaging 25 points over their previous ten games. The Fever have already clinched a playoff spot, marking their first appearance since 2016.

The Aces were propelled by MVP frontrunner A’ja Wilson, who delivered an impressive performance with 27 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocks. Wilson also set a new WNBA single-season scoring record with a 15-footer late in the first half, bringing her total to 956 points with five games remaining in the regular season. This surpasses the previous record of 939 points set by Seattle’s Jewell Loyd last season.
