After nearly two weeks of intense competition and remarkable displays of athleticism, the Paris 2024 Paralympics will conclude on Sunday, September 8.
To date, China leads the medal table with 71 golds and a total of 163 medals across the 549 events. Great Britain follows with 82 total medals, including 35 golds, while Team USA has secured 77 medals overall, with 27 golds.
The closing ceremony on Sunday promises to be a grand celebration for the world's top para-athletes. Like the Olympic closing ceremony, it will take place at the Stade de France.

The Paralympic Closing Ceremony will commence on Sunday, September 8, at 8:30 p.m. CEST (2:30 p.m. EST).

Both the Olympic and Paralympic ceremonies have made history by being held in the heart of the city, with the closing ceremony set to unfold at the Stade de France.
Tickets
Attendance at the Paralympic Closing Ceremony requires tickets, which are currently sold out for the initial release. However, resale tickets are available at a premium, and hospitality packages through Paris 2024’s partner, On Location, start at 375 euros.
Viewing Options
For those wishing to watch the ceremony live, television coverage will begin at 2:30 p.m. EST on CNBC, with streaming available on Peacock. The ceremony will also be available for later viewing on Peacock.
What to Expect at the Ceremony
The program will include the traditional Parade of Nations, musical performances, and the symbolic passing of the torch to the next host city. According to Billboard, the ceremony will showcase the French electronic music scene, featuring performances by Jean-Michel Jarre and 24 other French electronic artists.
Thomas Jolly will serve as the artistic director for the closing ceremony, with Victor le Masne as musical director and Romain Pissenem as director/designer.
As part of the handover to Los Angeles for the 2028 Paralympics, viewers will get a glimpse of what to expect, with Team USA Paralympians and Los Angeles residents Samantha Bosco, Ezra Frech, and Jamal Hill participating. All three are Paralympic medalists, with Bosco and Frech winning gold in their respective events.
Following the flag handover, Tony Award-winning actress Ali Stroker will sing the U.S. national anthem at the Stade de France. Concurrently, Venice Beach in Los Angeles will host performances by jazz pianist Matthew Whitaker, singer-songwriter Gaelynn Lea, rapper Garnett Silver-Hall, and artist Anderson .Paak. Adaptive skateboarders and athletes will also showcase their skills during .Paak's performance, accompanied by actress Lauren Ridloff.
