Mike Lindell goes ahead with his plan to shave his mustache for the DNC, leading to a clash with a 12-year-old influencer.
Pro-Donald Trump conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell has kept his word by shaving off his mustache and attempting to go undercover at the Democratic National Convention, where he ended up in a confrontation with a 12-year-old influencer.
The MyPillow CEO, who attended the Republican National Convention last month, had previously announced on a video on X that he would attend the Democratic event in disguise, claiming it would be so inconspicuous that “you won’t recognize me.”
On Wednesday, Lindell was spotted at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, looking clean-shaven and wearing a panama hat and sunglasses. However, despite his lack of a mustache, he was unable to remain unnoticed.
Video footage from the event captured Lindell clashing with various attendees. In one instance, he made unfounded claims about “hundreds of thousands of missing votes” in Georgia during the 2020 election, specifically stating, “257,000 votes – this happened last week, a judge ruled in Georgia – that are missing from the 2020 election.” This claim has no supporting evidence, as a fact-check from the Associated Press debunked it.
When questioned about his source, Lindell replied, “Trust me, bro,” prompting a witty retort from 12-year-old Democratic influencer Knowa, who challenged, “So your source is, ‘trust me, bro’?” Lindell insisted, “It’s in your papers in Georgia. You need to read your news,” to which Knowa dismissively responded, “You’re full of c**p,” as he walked away from the heated exchange.
Knowa has quickly gained popularity at the DNC, mingling with prominent figures such as Don Lemon and Stacey Abrams, and sharing photos with Vice President Harris on his Instagram.
In a video Lindell posted on X from the DNC, he expressed surprise at his new look while sitting in a barber’s chair. He explained that he attended the DNC to promote his own event, featuring several Chicago Democrats who have switched their allegiance to support Trump. “We’re gonna interview, we’re gonna find people,” he stated.
Lindell has been a vocal Trump supporter since meeting him before the latter’s first term in 2016. After founding MyPillow, he became known for promoting various baseless conspiracies, including the cardiotoxic substance oleandrin as a Covid-19 treatment in the summer of 2020. He has consistently claimed that the 2020 election was “rigged” and has financially backed unsuccessful efforts to overturn its results. Additionally, he falsely alleged that members of the anti-fascist group Antifa were disguised as Trump supporters during the January 6 Capitol riot.
In February, a court ordered Lindell to pay $5 million to a man who accepted his “Prove Mike Wrong” challenge and demonstrated that Lindell's purported evidence showed no widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election.
